Servant, worshiper, dancer, writer, mentor and Minister ChrisSharrah M. Willis founded GEMS in 2010. As an active member in her community and church (GECOP- God's Exciting Cathedral of Praise) ChrisSharrah was inspired to start GEMS because of her passion for working with teens through dance, mentoring and teaching the word of God.

ChrisSharrah believes spiritual growth along with academic enhancement makes a well-rounded young lady so she encourages the teens to study the word (2Tim 2:15), cultivate their God given gifts, serve others in the community and also pursue their education.

ChrisSharrah graduated from David W. Carter High School in 2002, where she was President of Student Council, Top 10% of her class, also a participant in dance/cheer and several other activities.

She then went on to Texas A&M University in College Station, where she majored in and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science in 2006. ChrisSharrah was in student organizations such as: Pre Law Society Social Chair, Vice President of Marketing & Community Service in the African American Business Society , the Department of Multicultural Services and one year with Fade to Black Dance Ensemble and Texas Ag Elite Competitive Cheer Squad.

ChrisSharrah is a recent 2014 graduate from Northwood University with her Masters in Business Administration (MBA).  She also still ministers and leads out with the dance ministry unto the Lord.

ChrisSharrah also encourages the GEMS girls to serve in their community. Jesus was the greatest example of being a servant-leader and we should follow his example.

ChrisSharrah is currently an active volunteer with: Baylor Hospital Pastoral Care, Seagoville Federal Prison and DeSoto Nursing Home just to name a few. She has coordinated and lead out in 8 Annual Feed the Homeless projects and 6 annual Evangelism efforts in the Dallas area.

ChrisSharrah was blessed with the opportunity to be crowned Miss Black Dallas USA 2007 and even competed for the crown of Miss Black Texas USA. She received the United States Certificate of Congressional Recognition from Sheila Jackson Lee Member of congress and a commendation from the United States Congress for being a leader in community for young women.

ChrisSharrah is the owner of the new on-line Christian Boutique-Body Armor Boutique (www.bodyarmorboutique.com)  and currently working on her first book.

God gave ChrisSharrah this vision for his glory and to help mold the next leaders in our community. She is elated that God has chosen her to share her time, talent and treasures with the GEMS girls.

Our youth are our future and every individual has a responsibility to pour into someone. The most precious thing to pour into someone is the Love of Jesus Christ.
