GEMS is a nonprofit ministry that seeks to improve the self-esteem, social competence, academic achievement and most of all spiritual enhancement of young ladies ages13-19 by providing a relationship with a spiritual mentor who works to help the youth achieve their potential in these areas. The GEMS program exists to educate, mentor, improve avoidance of at-risk behavior and spiritually equip young women in maturing through life.

GEMS also concentrate on “saving sex” not safe sex. GEMS encourages and promotes purity and waiting until marriage. GEMS host an annual Purity Ring Ball for the mentees. While the reality is most teens do become sexually active GEMS inspires those who have been sexually active that there is no condemnation in Christ and that God is a forgiving and loving God!
