1. Gems has helped me physically and spiritually, it has changed me for the better. During the process of going through GEMS bible studies I wanted to stop because I just wanted to be a regular teenager and to do normal things but over time I felt being in GEMS matured me and I overcame some challenges.....Yes I do still struggle and it seems like there's been more test thrown at me since I went through GEMS… But it just made me have MORE faith and want to seek God more stronger than ever because yes the road does get harder once you seek him for yourself. I'm just so glad that a have a praying mother and Gems that has help me get direction and steps to take towards my spiritual walk with God just basically giving me the tools to start my own walk ........I am so glad I was apart of GEMS-JESSICA HUNT
2. This christian-based program was an asset to me and my daughters life. It taught the importance of transitioning to young womanhood, leadership, and the benefits of practicing abstinence. Mariah was eager each week to attend the program with the excellent leadership and her new friends. Not only did she gain new friends, a christian-base style of being a young woman, she gained a life mentor in Ms. ChrisSharrah Willis. She developed a personal relationship with Mariah that continues today. I'm grateful that Mariah has Ms. Willis to turn to in times to need when for whatever reason she is not comfortable with turning to her mother. The results of the program is still noticeable in Mariah even today. The Purity banquet was outstanding and I was extremely proud of GEMS and the leadership for putting such a resource together for our youth. Thanks Hope M. Foster, MBA

3. In 2010, I was introduced into a program called G.E.M.S. while attending GECOP church in Desoto Tx. The acronym stands for Girls Embracing Maturity Spiritually, and that's exactly what the program did for me it helped me embrace my maturity through the holy spirit. Before G.E.M.S. I did not understand the need to go to church, be dedicated to the Bible, be a believer of the word of God. Now I do I know that through Christ all things can be done that's what G.E.M.S. taught me. It taught me how to mature not only on a mental level but the physical and spiritual level .... Jalessa Brice
4. The Purity ceremony was truly one of the most monumental experiences that I believe a child will ever experience. It’s the perfect time in their lives and it just makes a world of difference when we place that kind of recognition around accepting Christ as the head of your life. It then gives it that much more power especially when you’re receiving that kind of support from your own age group and your family. That ring placed on the wedding finger is an attention getter and raises all of the right conversations. I loved every moment of it!!! I’m so proud of Danielle and I want this program to take place at our church as well. I believe that every church should have this to take place for Adults as well as the Children. Thank you for that vision and may God continue to bless and keep you all.-Deneen Preyer
5. Thank you Sis. ChrisSharrah for a job that exceeds well done!!! Everything was so beautiful from the set up to the young ladies & young men to the limo service. You and mentors did an tremendous job, outstanding in everything. I am so thankful that my child was able to be a partaker of GEMS and now I look for my other two daughters to participate in the next setting. Thank you again. Samantha Williams
6. I was honored to be a panelist during one of GEMS "real talk" sessions. I have known ChrisSharrah most of my life and I love seeing her impact the lives of young girls. They are in dire need of this information to protect themselves and someone who they can trust with grooming them towards becoming a Godly woman. Nigel Robinson
